The firm is led by Mr. Vikas Kumar, FCIArb, who is an Advocate-on-Record with Supreme Court of India. Over the course of his around 18 years of active legal practice, he has handled cases in a range of practice areas like civil, criminal, commercial, arbitration, land & estate, IPR, local & municipal legislation, lease & license, tender, banking, energy, etc.
After completing arbitration training from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, he was awarded the CIArb Fellowship. He studied for and passed a number of Arbitration Modules during the program. Study materials for the international arbitration training modules included subjects like jurisdictional laws, the law and process for selecting an arbitrator, the arbitration’s seat and venue, the challenge of arbitrators and their authority, various rules of evidence and burden of proof, the FLAC method, the various types of awards, cost, and interest, among other things. Along with learning about various arbitration statutes and soft laws, he has also received training on writing an enforceable award and the rules that apply to international arbitration.
He has conducted more than 50 arbitration cases relating to different subject matters. Mr. Kumar is an accredited Mediator empaneled with the Supreme Court Mediation Centre.
Mr. Kumar is a Life Member of Supreme Court Bar Association, Indian Council of Arbitration, FICCI, India, Bar Association of India, as well as member of the Supreme Court Advocate-on-Record Association, Delhi High Court Bar Association, National Company Law Tribunal & Appellate Tribunal Bar Association, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, Indian Arbitration Forum, International Bar Association, London etc.
